End of an Era.

This is how I plan to start off 2011.  Right at that spot in Chateau Marmont (thanks to a dear friend w/hook-ups) Hope the sun comes out New Year's morning, a massive hangover is better with a tan.
Have a safe and memorable New Year's! See ya in 2011!

Favorite Snapshots of 2010 via Jak & Jil

The hair, the eyebrows and the vintage doctor's bag.

Anja Rubik, Sasha Pivovarova and Maryna Linchuk.

Those Celine bags were everywhere in 2010.

This photo of A.D.R. became many profile pics on Facebook.

Giovanna Battaglia.

How did People Magazine and the weeklies not buy this intimate photo of Gisele + Tom?
But, that's what is great about Tommy Ton.

Model coming from the John Galliano show, onwards to another.
She got to keep the orange fire.

Kate Lanphear in a league of her own.

Love this pair of besties, all over that green, but look who's trailing behind
(with a grin!) ...
Anna Wintour.

Tavi for Vogue Paris.

I just love this about Taylor Tomasi Hill.
Not a lot of fashion directors let loose in public.

Best Watering Holes That Are Most Likely Open During Snowstorms in NYC

A majority of us have been there, stuck inside for at least 48 hours and you're praying that chinese food delivery will save you.  When you're snowed in especially in the city of New York, it's living on a prayer, because your tiny studio apartment or three roommates are driving you batty and you need to drink and socialize.  Get your gloves and faux fur trapper hat, we're going drinking below 14th Street.

Enter if you have thick skin.  MARS Bar has been the East Village/Lower East Side's 'Welcome to F&cking Manhattan" welcome wagon for many many years.  Jukebox: Hardcore classic punk gems from Dead Kennedy's to The Vibrators. (Yeah, that hardcore) - 25 East 1st Street at 2nd Ave

Broome Street Bar, I know for a fact that the owner lives within the same block radius and just like the old days, keeps tabs open for its locals. It's like your dad's bar (if he was that kind of cool).
Jukebox; The Rolling Stones, Dan Fogerty, U2 - 363 W. Broadway (between Grand and Leonard)

Welcome to the Johnson's.  I once lived right next door to this hipster/retro watering hole.  Thankfully, no Upper East Siders were allowed (or at least found its way to this below Houston drinking HQ).  It's 'That 70's Show' meets Williamsburg on Rivington Street in the LES.  Jukebox: The Stone Roses, The Hives, The Pixies  - 123 Rivington Street (between Essex & Norfolk)

XR Bar are the cheapest drinks below 14th Street.  Jukebox: I can't even recall, I'm too busy getting served my drinks on.  - 128 W. Houston (between MacDougal & Sullivan)

Julia Restoin Roitfeld Interviews Tom Ford

she: What made you decide that this was the season to return to fashion?
him:
I told myself that I would not come back to
women’s fashion until I felt I had something new to say. I feel that fashion has become too serious and that the actual customer’s needs have not really been addressed. Fashion needs to make one happy. It is a luxury

and should enhance one’s quality of life.

she:
What inspired your collection?

him:
Real clothes for real women. I want to concentrate on my real customer. That’s why I showed idealized versions of her—different women of different ages. It was about individuality, different body types, women who have their own style.

she:
What do you think fashion needs more of right now?

him:
Spontaneity. Fashion needs to be more fun.
